Photography is both hobby and job for me.
Q: I really like the yellow flower on your intro page, how did you shoot that?

I placed the camera on a tripod and layed down in the dirt. There was a strong wind that day so I had to bring up my aperture to 16.0 and I was like shit because I was hoping for 40.</p>
Q: What is a NEF RAW image?
Nef (RAW) is a file type. NEF stands for Nikon Electronic Format. The image sensor sends raw data to the memory card where it is then saved in NEF format. Nef RAW images can then be transferred to a computer for processing.
Q: How do you get the camera to focus on a object and blur out the background?
I like to do this manually by increasing the apertures (3.2-5.6 wide open) depending on my subject/object. Reducing the apertures (7.0-9.0) increases depth of field.

The challenge of producing stunning end results.
Q: What can I expect to receive with my wedding package?
As a Vento client you have two options to choose from. First option (option A) includes the following: 600 4x6 digital files ( 300 color & 300 Black & White ) supplied on CD. You will also receive the same files in a large format also supplied on CD. A beautiful hard cover Wedding book is also included. Wedding Photography services include Getting Ready, Ceremony, Reception and locations of your choice. Second option (option B) includes the following: 1000 4x6 digital files (500 color & 500 Black & White) supplied on a CD.
Q: Can I take my photographs anywhere to be printed?
Yes you can, however included in my Wedding packages are different size pictures. I supply an odd size of 7x14, 11x22 and 6x24 which you can't just walk in anywhere and order. What I would suggest for best results you go to Technicare Imaging Ltd. (www.technicare.com) located in Edmonton Alberta to have them printed. Make sure they are on Metallic paper as well. Of course the unlimited 4x6, 8x12, 16x24, 24x36, 8x10 is your option.
Q: I really like the color in your photographs, what steps did you take to get such vibrant colors?
The camera I currently use lets me select a picture control. The Nikon D.3 has four options to choose from, Standard, Neutral, Vivid and Monochrome. I was taught to select Vivid. After trying out all four options I found Vivid to work the best for me. By selecting Vivid photographic results are vividly enhanced for a beautiful end result. I then modify the existing picture controls manually to suite creativeness of thought. These extended options are easily recognizable, contrast, saturation, brightness and hue.
Q: Your Eagle pictures are stunning, how do you shoot your Eagle pictures?
Most important thought I keep in mind when shooting Eagles is making sure the camera is set up properly the way I want it. Adjusting settings and options on the camera before shooting is a must. White balance, ISO, Aperture, Focus Point, Focus Lock, Manual and Auto Focus, choosing a live view mode, choosing a release mode and 3D-tracking, in other words "Controlling how the camera focuses" is essential when shooting Eagles.
Q: I really like your wildlife photography, are they available as digital files?
The Nature and Wildlife Albums on my site are only available in print format. Other photographs displayed on my page that display a gold leaf are available for commercial use only.
I really like your dog, where did you get him from?
I got my dog from ArcticLegend Siberian Huskies in Rocky Mountain House.
Regarding restoration, can you touch up my old pictures?
I can touch up old pictures in a photographic format that needs some scanning. If you want your old or current pictures touched up in a digital format I can do that as well. If you want your old slides touched up you will have to go to another source for that. Suggestions: Colorspace Photo-Graphics, Edmonton, AB
